Here in Florida you never know what you can expect from the weather. On a lovely September day a tropical storm formed right on top of St. Augustine. It was quite unexpected. We ended up with quite a bit of rain and wind for about two days. As the last remnants passed I decided to go out and try for some interesting sunrise shots. Well mother nature wasn't quite done with us and instead of a spectacular sunrise I found some gray skies, misting rain and great swells!
This is a shot at the pier in Fernandina Beach. Later I decided to go further north up the beach closer to Ft. Clinch. The tide was just starting to go out. There was just enough of the storm left to bring out some surfers playing in the 4-5 foot waves.
After watching the surfers for a bit I planned on leaving but then noticed the dunes and couldn't pass them up.
These are just a few shots from my early morning walk.
